Description of service
This breast reduction decreased my size from a DD to a more comfortable C. Unfortunately, my insurance company would not pay for the surgery as it was not contributing to another problem, such as back pain. The $5700 included the initial consultation, surgery, bandaging, and follow up appointments.
Review of Service
I was very self conscious at my first appointment. I know a lot of people that have had breast augmentation done, and they don't understand why anyone would want a reduction. Fortunately, the staff at the clinic I ultimately chose were very understanding. They understood how your self esteem could be low with either large or small breasts, and were able to ease my mind considerably.
Tips
After finding out what clinics near you offer the service, try and schedule a consultation with a few of them. While you should listen to all of the advice that you are given, you should also not go along with something that doesn't seem right to you. One clinic I visited thought that I should only go down to a D, but that was not the "right" size for me. Take your spouse or a VERY trusted friend or family member with you, both to the consultation and surgery. Make sure that whoever you take is supportive of your thoughts and beliefs.
Understand that you will be painfully sore for longer than just a day or two, and that you will need some assistance at home. In the end, though, it will all be worth it.
