the Cost of Breast Reduction

I had a breast reduction performed by a plastic surgeon in Baltimore, MD. It was roughly a two-hour surgery that took place in the morning.

The surgery was excellent. Nurses and anaesthetists were helpful and kind, and the result looked good, was aesthetically pleasing. The cost included everything, including the anaesthetist's fee and garments worn after surgery. There was little to no pain after the surgery, and I was able to go home within the next few days. The drains were slightly uncomfortable, but were necessary and easy to hide. The cost also included return visits to the surgeon during my stay in order to assess the surgery, check up on blood flow to the area, and remove the drains when necessary.

Different areas of the country typically charge different prices for the same procedure - might be good to shop around. Some surgeons can charge as little as $5000 for the same surgery you'd get for $10000 or more in other areas. The surgeon I went to was very reasonable and didn't charge extra fees, so I saved a lot. It was helpful for me to look on the internet and send away for information from potential surgeon so that I could assess the price that each surgeon charge, see pictures of their results, and then decide whether a certain price was worth it.
