the Cost of Breast Reduction

I had my breasts reduced and evened out. The total cost including follow up consultations was $5000.

My breasts were so large they were causing strain on my back. My doctor had recommended for years that I have the surgery done to decrease their size but it was a lot of money and my insurance company did not cover the cost of the surgery.

As I got older the pain got worse and I finally had the surgery done. I also had one breast that was about 1/2 a cup size larger than the other one. They made sure to even everything up during the surgery.

Although the surgery was painful and the recovery was as well, in the long term this has eased a lot of pain. I wish I had done it before, despite the cost.

I would highly recommend getting a package that includes all post-operation treatment, or least most of it. It gave me peace of mind once it was over with that unless something major happened I wouldn't have to pay anything else. Give yourself lots of recovery time, this is a major surgery and the recovery time and pain does reflect that.
