the Cost of Wedding Caterers

Preparing and serving of our wedding meal buffet style. Which included Pork chops, Baked Potatoes, Side salad,(which was just lettuce) and Dinner roll. and appetizers for later in the night at the Dance. Which were 2 Chips and Dip trays, 2 Vegetable trays, 2 meat and cracker trays and 5 gallons of punch. Price alson included a $100 tip.

Dinner for 75 @ 7.50 each $562.50

2 meat and cracker trays @ $20 each $40

The service was very good the meal was great. We had a local group of women cater our wedding. They were very quick to get everything cleaned up afterwards, and made sure everyone had their fill before taking the food away. The food was hot when it was served. The ladies were very polite. The only down fall was that because of health inspecter rules, we were not able to take the left over food home with us. But we found out that it was all donated to a memorial luncheon for a janitor that had worked at the place where we held our wedding reception.

You should call around to less known caterers in your area. Just because they arnt well known doesnt mean they dont offer very good food.

Make sure you ask if they offer a tasting of several different foods that they offer.

Ask for refferences.

Go buffet style if you are able to. It is much cheaper then when you have waiters serving the meal.
