Description of service
The caterer charged $35 per plate, which we thought was an excellent price. Surprisingly, this fee included a 4 hour open bar. We also had 5 trays of appetizers served, at a total cost of $385.
Review of Service
The service from this caterer was excellent. Before dinner there was a table set up with 2 trays of fresh fruit, 2 trays of assorted finger sandwiches, and a tray of cubed cheese. In addition, the bar was open during this time. This kept the early guests satisfied while waiting for everyone else to arrive. The dinner service started exactly on time. The menu included roast beef, a delicious chicken dish, baby red potatoes, a vegetable, salad and wonderful homemade bread. The dinner was served family style, with the bridal party being served plated food first. There was more than enough food on each table, but if anything did run out the caterers were happy to bring more food to the tables. The bar was closed during dinner, but this was announced in plenty of time for guests to get drinks, and the water glasses were kept full all through the dinner service. Cleanup was quick and efficient. The bridal table all had champagne glasses that my daughter had purchased for them, and the caterer even cleared those, washed and dried them, and then wrapped them up to take home. I can't think of anything negative to say about this catering service at all!
Tips
Be sure to keep in contact with the caterer before the wedding. Be clear on exactly what you want served, how you'd like it served, and make sure to review your contract so that every detail is spelled out clearly. Arrange a taste-test before the wedding so that there are no surprises!
