Description of service
The service is for a cable modem. There was an initial charge for someone to come out and do the installation which was about $200.00. This charge included the cost of the modem.
Review of Service
I am quite happy with the service I have been receiving. I think we may have had one outage in the 6 years we have been using them. I have had to contact the customer service because I had an issue with them and they were very friendly and knowledgeable. The walked me through my problem and I was able to fix it with their assistance. I do feel as if I am paying too much just for internet service. I will start looking around for something cheaper but I do not want to sacrifice quality. The company does offer bundles but I have a relatively cheap phone service and a satellite tv provider that we are very happy with so a bundle would not work for us. We switched to a cable modem from dial-up years ago and it was one of the best decisions we made.
Tips
I would say look around and see what is out there. If you are able to bundle phone, television and internet connections, then you should try to do that. I would make sure you compare with the competitors to see if that would make sense. I would make sure you look at the big providers but don't discount the smaller ones out there - if there are any. You can't really judge a service by the size of the company.
