the Cost of Cable Internet Service Providers

We pay $45 per month for a large cable provider's internet service. We have unlimited usage and enough bandwidth that we never have a problem.

We receive cable internet service from the carrier we do because there is no other option available in our area. We have had few problems with the internet being down at random times but never for much longer than an hour. We have done quite a bit of downloading, and although there have been rumors of problems with this from this provider, we haven't noticed anything. The speed is very good. It loads pages faster than a T1 connection, and we use it almost constantly. I have very few problems with streaming and we have at least 3 devices connected to the router at time, all the time. We've never had to deal with technical support, but the times that we've had to call customer service we have been frustrated in general.

I've had every kind of internet service that you can except for fiber optic. Obviously DSL and Cable are both much faster than dial up speeds. If you can, shop around, there is a lot of competition popping up in this field. Look online for your options. If you are in an area that there aren't many options available keep checking.
