Description of service
The problem with the computer was that it did not turn on. In the end, we found out it was because of a bad power supply. My friend got ripped off really badly by a local computer repair shop. She paid $60. The computer repair shop stole a 256MB RAM chip from the computer, and the power supply he put in was obviously damaged because it made an extremely loud noise.
Review of Service
A friend of mine's computer broke once. She desperately needed to get it fixed, so she went over to the nearest computer repair shop. The people at the repair shop returned a computer with its memory cut in half, as I later found out, and a defective power supply. When she tried to appeal in court it did not go through because it was too small of a case. The computer repair shop owner was extremely rude to her when trying to settle this dispute.
Tips
When going to a computer repair person, be extremely cautious, as they are very likely to rip you off. I would suggest asking a friend to fix your computer, or at least ask friends to inspect your computer's specs before taking it to a repair shop.
