Description of service
My son recently started Jiu Jitsu classes. I pay $150 dollars a week for my son to attend the classes for an hour and a half two times a week. I also originally spent another fifty dollars for the clothes he wears to the class. So far, he has been enrolled for about a month and we have occurred no additional expenses other than the cost of the class itself. So, the total start up cost for the first week was $200 dollars.
Review of Service
Overall, I am happy with the classes. My son really seems to enjoy attending them. I also love how getting the energy out seems to make our evenings at home a lot calmer. He has friends at the class and loves seeing them there. He does seem to be learning but I am paying more for the activity than for him to truly develop martial arts skills. If he ends up doing so, then I would consider that to be a pleasant bonus.
Tips
Before choosing the class, I spoke with other mothers at my son's school to see where they were going. I also took my son to a class before joining for us to watch and determine if it was something that he thought he would enjoy. I would recommend doing this because it can be difficult to get a refund if your child decides he hates the class early on.
