Description of service
Jiu Jitsu Classes: Classes are held Monday- Friday and require the student to attend two times per week. Class length varies by level, with the longest class being one hour for the adults. You are considered an adult around the age of 14 unless you are extremely tall for your age and can't find someone your size to workout with. The schedule is flexible and you can attend any day you want between Monday and Thursday. If you missed a class, make-up classes are held on Friday.
Review of Service
The service I received was outstanding. I started with a timid, somewhat overweight twelve year old boy and now have a much leaner and more toned child. The best part is the boost in self confidence after finding something he is good at. The school is very family oriented, and the instructors know every student and their family members and greet everyone by name. They are also very helpful if you are having trouble motivate your child in school. In order to test for the next level, the student needs a teacher to state that they are doing well in school and are respectful and courteous. I am thrilled with the level of service we have received.
Tips
Find a school that fits your families style. This school has a Holiday party every year, a summer camp, a Halloween party and raises money for charity through programs like a "Kick-A-Thon." The students participate in Community Days and are chosen for demonstrations when the school visits the children's school to give a presentation on how to deal with a bully. Most importantly, find a school that teaches the student that this is self defense, and they are never to use their techniques unless they are threatened.
