Description of service
I pay $50 a week for my son's Jiu Jitsu class. His class is an hour and a half once a week. There are 5 other students in his class.
Review of Service
There are certainly much cheaper options for his classes. However, we choose to pay more for a few reasons. One reason is the very small class size. It is almost like he's getting one on one instruction. Another reason is that the instructor and owner of the operation splits all his classes into different skill levels. Most places split the classes based on how long they've been learning, not their skill level. In my son's class he is motivated to try harder and practice so that he can move up and graduate to the next class. Because all the students are at similar skill levels they are able to teach each other a lot and learn things from one another. The only complain I have is that as he moves up in skill level there is only one class available at each skill level. So I don't have control over when he has classes.
Tips
Just like anything else, keep in mind that you get what you pay for. If you're able and willing to pay a little more you will likely get more for your money. Focus on value, not cost.
