Description of service
Through training in the programe, children benefited by gaining a clearer and more natural understanding of how their bodies feel, move and react to their physical environment. Learning how to fall properly, how to improve their position in unfortunate or dangerous situations and understanding their physical strengths and limitations are just some of the natural outcomes of our well-balanced curriculum.
In addition to these important physical benefits, children also develop positive mental attributes with lifelong impact: empowerment, confidence and high self-esteem; strong leadership, communication and social skills through constructive interaction with their teammates; discipline, work-ethic and determination through motivated and consistent training; respect for their teachers, teammates and most importantly, themselves.
With thorough knowledge of grappling, children develop a sound, fundamental understanding of how to use their leverage to escape dangerous positions, how to deal with being grabbed and/or held against their will. It is not as likely or realistic for a child to defend against a bigger, stronger adversary solely through the use of striking techniques; rather, a strong awareness of grappling serves as a solid foundation and can be complemented with other tools.
Practical techniques are creatively instilled through games, cooperative exercises and role-playing scenarios that help to develop my child’s skills in a fun and engaging environment. Every single game or exercise played corresponds to important skills pertinent to their training.
The cost of $130 was for 2 classes a week for 8 weeks
Review of Service
Rarely have I seen a program so well put together for teaching skills to children. In the field of martial arts specifically, I have never come across a better one. Although I’ve long been committed to the study of the martial arts myself, when I heard that my child's instructor was considering starting a kids’ BJJ class, I waited for an opportunity to enroll my son in his program. I knew that the instructor's drive and enthusiasm for the art combined with his positive outlook, unfailing kindness, and technical facility would make him the ideal instructor for my child’s knowledge as a teaching professional when combined with the instructor’s vast technical expertise in the art has created a truly impressive and systematic curriculum where children learn authentic jiujitsu skills while having a great time. And it is amazing how fast these kids take to the art when the right kind of mixture of fun and skills are present as they are in the program! I heartily recommend this program to anyone out there who is looking to enroll their child in a program that will not only teach them martial arts skills but will also present them with excellent lessons in sportsmanship, camaraderie, physical fitness, and teamwork. The instructors have created a program which will provide lessons in life-skills which our children will take with them wherever their lives lead them.
Tips
1. Decide what you want to get out of your martial arts training
2. Choose a style
3. What kind of school would suit you?
4. Research schools in your area. Ask the instructor questions and visit the facility before you enroll in classes
