Description of service
I got my tongue pierced about a year and a half ago. I liked the idea of piercings but didn't want anything too obvious. I paid $60 for my tongue piercing and jewelry at a professional tattoo and piercing shop.
Review of Service
I arrived very nervous I had only ever had my ears pierced before. The people there made me feel comfortable and at ease and wouldn't do it until I was ready. They seemed to understand and empathize with the fact that people get scared of needles and pain. They explained everything to me and how it might feel before doing the piercing as well as the care instructions for afterwards. They explained that my tongue was going to swell up and it would be hard to eat for a week or so. The woman who did the piercing was as gentle as she could be under the circumstances and made it a somewhat pleasant experience.
Tips
Make sure you absolutely want a piercing before going to get one. Find a shop with a reputation for being clean and sterile. Ask questions about the procedure if you have them. Talk to other people who have had that particular piercing done so you know what to expect.
