Description of service
I recently (this past January) went through the pain of getting my tounge pierced at a local tatoo and piercing shop in Columbus, Georgia. The procedure took a little over an hour with the waiting time and the actual piercing and cost $75. This price included a starter "stud" tounge ring.
Review of Service
The service was great. I really liked how clean the shop was, and how everything was sterilized before it was used on me. Of coarse the actually piercing was painfull as all get out, but after the initial pinch there wasn't much pain involved. My tounge was swollen for like a week, and it almost seemed like I had to learn to swallow again, or at least I had to retrain my tounge on pushing food down because of the tounge ring now being in the way. The guy who pierced my tounge was very nice even though I acted like a big baby, so overall I'd say I had a great service at a great price.
Tips
I would not do this procedure by yourself. I have seen too many people with infected tounges because they wanted to pierce it themselves. Call around to different tatoo shops and see how much they charge to pierce a tounge and get the best deal on the cleanest/best shop.
