Description of service
For $40, I got my tongue pierced. This is including $10 for a tip. The $30 covered the tools and the stainless steel jewelry. It was a middle of the tongue piercing so it was a long barbell.
Review of Service
The piercer was really good. It was my first piercing and he made sure to explain the entire process and kept me calm throughout the entire process (this is why he got a $10 tip). In addition to explaining the process, he also showed me how the needle was new and everything else was either new or had been proven to be sterilized. All told, it took less than 15 minutes for the whole thing.
Tips
The most important thing is to research the place you're thinking about going to. Since some places are just here to make a quick buck, check it out by asking friends. Some local health providers and college health centers may have places that they recommend because they know that they're legit places. When you get there, your eyes are your best friend - if it looks dirty, don't stick around long enough to get pierced. Check to make sure things are sterilized and that the piercer washes his or her hands in front of you, if they don't, tell them to.
