the Cost of New Computer Set Up

I bought a new computer and had a professional computer tech over to make sure everything was set up correctly. It took him about an hour and 15 minutes and I was charged $150.

I recently bought a new computer that came with some programs I needed for work but wasn't familiar with. I spent a pretty penny on the machine so I wanted to make sure I really got my money's worth. So, I hired a professional to come do a new computer set up and make sure everything was running as best as it could.

The gentleman who worked on the computer was very nice. He asked me questions about my needs and made his own decisions based on them. He set up the e-mail, configured several programs to my specifications and got rid of programs that came pre-installed that I didn't need.

I really had no complaints about this service. I was worried I'd end up with someone who acted like a know-it-all and wanted me to be able to tell them more about what I needed than I was able to. Instead I got a guy who was very nice and figured out what I needed himself.

Be sure that you are clear with the person on what your needs are. If you're a basic user you won't need some of the fancy software additions.
