the Price of Interior Design

This is the price I paid to have an interior designer decorate three of my rooms. The price included the initial home consultation, a one thousand dollar decorator fee, and the actual decor in the three rooms. The rooms I had redecorated were the living room, the master bedroom, and the master bathroom. The price includes everything needed to redecorate the rooms including paint, wallpaper, curtains, some new furniture, new linens, and various decorative items. The design took about two weeks to complete.

I think that this was a very reasonable price considering that some new furniture was included. One of the new items was a sofa which could have cost close to this amount by itself. However, home decorating services get many of their items at wholesale making the overall cost much more reasonable than if I had bought the items myself. I was very pleased with the design of the rooms. He helped me decide what style I wanted to focus on and even made me a binder that had all of my choices and ideas organized. The final day he was there he brought me a huge flower arrangement and a beautiful basket filled with gourmet foods.

Make sure you know all of the costs ahead of time. Also, ask how long it will take to complete the design.
