the Price of Interior Design

I paid 250 dollars for a professional designer to design our new baby's room. We knew we wanted to have a vintage sports theme but beyond that we didn't know what we wanted.

This was a great experience. We told her the general things we wanted and were very clear on a few things we didn't want. For example, we did not want any pastels. She drew up an example of how the room would look and we liked most of it but there were few little things we didn't like that much. She fixed it up and we loved the next drawing. Once we'd approved the new design she got to work giving us information on how to get the room done. She gave us information on the cheapest places to buy all the items she'd incorporated. She gave us information on the type and name of the paint colors we wanted. She even recommended some local painters and craftsmen to do the work for us.

This is definitely worth the money. It's hard as a layperson to picture what a room is going to look like when it's done. This really helps to get a whole concept of how it's going to turn out.
