I had a friend coming for a visit from Minnesota and they were so excited about coming to Florida in the middle of the winter - all they were looking forward to was going to the beach every day. I decided it would be fun to rent a convertible for a day.
The rental place was at the airport - the cheapest location to rent a vehicle.
Review of Service
Apparently this is such a common thing that the rental place had a place for you to park your car while you rented one of theirs. They said convertibles and minivans were their most popular rentals.
The car was immaculate. The rental place explained in great detail how to operate the convertible top and had me do it myself several times to make sure I understood.
The car was ready when I got there, which is not always the case with rental places.
Their 24/7 phone number was posted on the visor so if I needed to call them I didn't have to rustle through my paperwork to find their number.
Tips
Do your research. The prices varied greatly in the Tampa, Florida area.
Renting a convertible was only about $7 a day more than the other choices - have some fun !!
