Description of service
For a special occasion, I decided to rent a convertible for the long weekend, and the total cost was $388. The daily cost for the car was $110, which included 75 free miles per day, and the tax on the rental was about $38. We paid $20 for the additional miles that we drove over the free amount, and the rate was 60 cents per additional mile. The car was a red with a black top, and it was provided with a full tank of gas that we refilled before returning the car.
Review of Service
We needed a car for the weekend, and we just wanted to splurge a little with a nice car that we could use to have fun. I reserved the car about three weeks in advance and it is considered a "premium" category rental, so I was required to give the rental agency a credit card number to guarantee the reservation. The car was clean and ready for me at the time I scheduled to pick it up, and it ran very well and the mechanism to lower and raise the roof worked fine. We had a great time with the car driving all around, and we were very satisfied with the service and the price, which was really not much higher than renting a full size car, so we thought it was definitely worth the extra expense.
Tips
Call far in advance if you want to rent a premium vehicle for a weekend or during a time of year that is popular for rentals, such as graduation weeks and spring break periods. Also ask about the types of convertibles that are available; sometimes they have a few different models that you can select from.
