Description of service
10 dollars an hour to a cpr certified babysitter to watch my 6 year old son. During the time, she fed and bathed him as well.
Review of Service
Finding a babysitter is hard. I wasn't comfortable with a teenager doing so, so I searched around for someone with good reccomendations. I found a wonderful lady on a local message board, and met with her before ever agreeing to use her. She charged 10 dollars an hour, and that was exactly what I looking to pay. I think you really do get what you pay for, and if you're not willing to spend at least 10 dollars an hour on childcare, you could be putting your child's life in danager. I made sure that the woman I used was cpr certified, and I called other families she worked for. She came to my house and got along great with my son. She fed him dinner, bathed him, played with him and tucked him in. She also made sure to call us to check in even though we didn't ask her to. I thought that was great. She was pleasant and reliable, and my son loved her.
Tips
Firstly, make sure anyone you have watching your children has prior experience, and make sure to check their background and talk to other families who have used him or her. Also, make sure they are cpr certified, because you never know what might happen. If you have pets, make sure to tell that person before hand, in case of allergies. Make sure you set all rules, and have made them clear to the person you're leaving in charge. If you have even the slightest doubt about the person you're hiring, DO NOT USE THEM. If you're looking for a babysitter, but are unsure of how to find one, your local ymca, church, or even gym would be a great place to start.
