Description of service
Local babysitter, mature teen girl recommended by people in the neighborhood. She was to show up at 6pm, and watch our girls until 10:30pm so we could go to dinner and a movie for an anniversary. Babysitting was for two girls, ages 5 and 3.
Review of Service
Our babysitter didn't just stick in a Disney video and text or gab on the phone. She played bingo with the girls, they watched a movie together, and she took us up on the offer to give them a treat if they were good. Her father dropped her off, so he was able to meet us before we left, which gave us some reassurance. The house was kept clean, and our girls really liked the babysitter. I'm always leary about selfish kids that think they're doing a good by keeping the girls alive and with no broken windows. I was impressed that she'd take the time to play a game my girls enjoy, even though it couldn't have been much fun for her (although we think it's great fun! :) ) My girls look forward to being babysat now, and it's all because of how they were treated
Tips
I think what we did right was picking a babysitter others were happy with, also setting a price up front ( a "So what do you charge?" asked with a smile works great).
