Description of service
The amount charged covered the printing of fifty wedding invitations for a June wedding. It was not a rush job- the printer was given the task well in advance. We did the design ourselves- while they could have set up the graphics/font/etc. it was much cheaper for us to do the layout rather than hiring one of their graphic designers to handle it.
The charge covered the card stock for the invitations as well as the printing itself. It was an inexpensive card stock- premium stock would have cost more- but we had the invitations engraved so a lighter font could lie against the darker paper.
Review of Service
The service was quite good, though it took a bit longer than we were anticipating for everything to be ready. The printer had a steady workload and had apparently become a little backed up.
Tips
If at all possible, make sure you design your cards ahead of time- this will save a bundle. Take a look at the printers' samples so you get an idea of what will be the best value for your money- don't be afraid to ask for estimates and shop around. Even after you choose a printer, get a 'proof' card first so you know what you're getting/ what it will look like. And always leave yourself plenty of time to have the invitations in hand- you don't know what delays might come up on their end, and you want to make sure everything gets to you with time to spare.
