Description of service
A few months ago (thanks to the makeover segments of America's Next Top Model!), I decided I wanted to fluff up my hair, which is really long but relatively thin and lacking any kind of body without putting tons of effort and lots of styling products in my hair, not to mention a blow dryer and curling iron. So, hoping to alleviate the time consumption it takes to have "model" hair, I got my first "weave".
Review of Service
Since I had never had a weave before, I didn't really know what to expect. What I got was not what I expected at all! First of all, I highly highly recommend getting REAL hair. I had fake hair glued in...never again will I do that! First of all, it was extremely painful to remove and ripped out a ton of my own hair. It also feels really gross on your head and my husband absolutely hated that he couldn't do the fingers through the hair thing without running into the strange feeling. The other thing is that it was not real hair. Fake hair is not nearly as manageable as real hair.
Tips
My tip is to work what you have and don't be as vain and image obsessed as so many women are today. I mean, come on, what is the world coming to where women are using GLUE to paste on fake hair! Now that I look back on it I'm just grossed out at my own stupidity. I love my own hair now - its silky and smooth and natural, just like the way it's supposed to be! But, if you DO decide you have to have a weave, at least use real hair, and have it braided in!
