the Price of a Hair Weave

I paid to have two tracks of hair woven into my own hair to make it look fuller. I purchased the hair and paid $100.00 per track of hair ($200.00) plus a $20.00 tip to have this done. The stylist created a braid underneath my real hair to use as a base to sew each track on to. It looked great when she was done, but it took well over an hour to do. For the first few weeks I felt as if I was wearing a hat until the weave loosened up a bit.

I was very pleased with the service. The weave lasted a couple of months, then I had to go have the hair tightened, it lasted a little while longer. Hair weaves are great for a short term basis, but when I had the weave removed I had broken or lost alot of my own hair, it is still growing back. The weave looks great while it is in, and is lower maintenance than your real hair, for a short term look I would highly recommend it. It is fairly expensive to do by the time you purchase the hair, pay the stylist, and tip, plus the cost of the occasional tightening that is needed.
