Description of service
I went to a salon in Birmingham and asked to have tracks added to my hair to make it longer. They glued in the tracks to add about 8 inches of length to my hair. They used real human hair and matched the color to my hair color. They parted my hair at the crown and began adding the tracks there and progressed down to the nap of my neck. The whole process took about five hours. The tracks lasted for about two weeks before the glue began coming loose and I had to have them removed.
Review of Service
I was happy with the outcome. I had just had a baby and was keeping my hair short for easy upkeep but I wanted to look pretty and feminine again for a few days. This gave me a chance to have long hair without having to go through the growing out process. It is expensive though and takes forever to have them put in. They were easy to care for, just wash as usual and brush and style like I would my own natural hair. I used a hair dryer and hot rollers both with no problems.
Tips
Call a few different shops and get their pricing, just make sure to ask if they use human or synthetic hair. Also, ask what method will work best for your hair, having the tracks glued in, sewed in, or just using clip ons.
