Description of service
I took my daughter to a hair salon for micro-braids (which are tiny little braids that include your natural hair with hair weave braided into it.) I was told in advance that the charge would be $175.00. When I arrived at the salon the hair dresser asked me if I had brought the hair weave hair with me. I had not, as she did not mention that on the phone, therefore, I assumed the hair was provided at the salon. She gave me directions to a beauty supply store and told me what to buy. I was not happy about this, but I went and bought the hair, which cost approximately $20.00. When I returned to the salon the hair dresser was already washing my daughter's hair. She informed me that she charged $20 to wash it.Because she was already washing it and I didn't want to make a scene, I did not argue about this. She started braiding and it looked really good. I left the salon and when I returned 7 hours later, my daughter looked beautiful.
Review of Service
The braids were gorgeous and I was very happy with the result. Although I was annoyed initially because I had to buy the hair myself and pay additional money for the wash, I was very satisfied with the outcome. The hair weave looked natural and the braids lasted 3 months.
Tips
Ask for the total price up front. Ask if the salon provides the hair for the weave or if you need to supply it.
