the Price of a Week of After School Daycare

Daycare Service is for infants through school age children. Daycare expenses are for $90 a week, $45 per a child. Daycare coverage includes lunch and snack, Monday through Thursday 6am to 5pm. Fridays are an addition $8.50 per a child per an hour from 6am to 5pm. No weekend daycare is available or holidays. Holidays are included in the weekly rate.

While the daycare is extremely reasonable, you are expected to pay for daycare even on days the daycare is not open or your child is not in daycare. The daycare does not cover Fridays which is an inconvenience, and at times the daycare isn't even open on those days. Just about every holiday the daycare is closed for. Take for instance, Spring Break. Many parents had to work, but there was no notice of the daycare closing in advance. However, when parents dropped off their children for daycare spring break week, they were left without childcare because the daycare was closed. Also, if there is a school closing for weather conditions, the daycare will close.

Be sure you have a back up babysitter. There have been numerous times that we've planned to drop the kids off before work and found the daycare to be closed because of workers not showing up. Expect a lot less service when you pay less.
