Description of service
Some parents must put their child in an After School Daycare program due to their work schedule. Finding a provider you trust should be the most important consideration. After that, the cost and convenience of the service should be considered. I am very lucky that my town offers an after school program right at my sons school. He simply leaves his classroom at dismissal time and walks down the hall to the cafeteria. He can stay there until 6pm. The cost is $130 for 2 days, $170 for 3 days or $230 for 4 to 5 days a week.
Review of Service
My son loves going to the after school program offered by the school. After reporting to the cafeteria for attendance, the children divide into groups. They can choose to play board games, read, do homework, or go to the gym. Homework assistance is also available. The staff chats with me when I pick him up. They tell me if he has finished his homework and which friends he played with.
Tips
Check with your local school to see if they offer after school care. It is often the most convenient and inexpensive. The people employed by the school usually have had their backgrounds researched. You should feel comfortable that your child is safe with the staff of the after school program you select. Ask to see proof of the staff background checks.
