Description of service
I paid $100 a week for my 7 year old. It was at an individual's home who was licensed to do day care. She picked my child up from school around 2:30 and had her Monday through Friday until 5:00 pm. My child got a snack and juice.
Review of Service
There are good and bad things about working with an individual. One good thing is that I know exactly who to hold accountable if there should ever be a problem. No referring me to a supervisor. There are only 4 other children that my sitter watches which is good and bad. It's great because when they do art projects or other things like that my child gets a lot of one on one attention. The bad part is that there aren't any kids around her age at all so I think she gets a little more bored than she would if she was in a larger facility or community center where she could meet more kids.
Tips
Definitely keep in mind the pros and cons of having more or less kids in your program. Make sure if you choose an individual that they are licensed. I usually stop by early about once a month just to check on what's going on when the sitter doesn't think I"ll be showing up.
