Description of service
Hair extensions can be added to your own natural hair to add length, volume, and body. This is also an easy, non-chemical way to add highlights or lowlights. Hair extensions can last for one night or can be last six months.
The price depends on the type of hair and method used. Synthetic hair costs less than human hair. However, we will focus on hair extension prices for different methods:
1) Clip-on hair extensions are a temporary solution, and their price is between $19.50 to $269 for a kit.
2) Hot Fusion or Bonding extensions are hot glued to your natural hair. This is the traditional method, and it costs around $300.
3) A new technology is Cold Fusion, which is gentle on the hair. It costs from $1,500 to $3,500.
4) In Weave method, hair extensions are braided into the natural hair. This method costs around $1,200.
Review of Service
I wanted to add blond highlights but with a non-chemical way, so I decided to put some extensions to my natural hair. I used the Hot Fusion method and of course I used synthetic hair extensions, because I didn't want to pay too much for it. The total price was $280. The service were excellent and the hairdresser was qualified with experience in applying hair extensions. Now I have my blond highlights in the most natural way!
Tips
Before buying hair extensions make sure that the hairdresser is qualified. He or she should be a licensed cosmetologist with experience in applying hair extensions. Many hair extension companies offer certifications in hair extension application. Do not choose a hairdresser based solely on price -- the cost to your hair could be too great.
