Description of service
The process involved using Human hair packs which cost $24 for each pack of hair, and for shoulder length hair extension you would require four packs of human hair. Your hair is then sectioned and braided or corn rowed in rows so that the human hair can be sewn in. These rows are called tracks, and the human hair is attached to them with thread which prevents the hair from separating from your head. The hair is sewn onto the braid in sections which is preferable to having them glued in. Gluing will sometimes come loose and break the hair and irritate the scalp. This process will take at least two to three hours depending on the length and style requested. After the hair is attached to all rows, the hair is then cut and styled. The cost of having this done is 200 dollars in this area and 100 for the human hair which you have to bring with you. This particular salon did not provide the hair, however some salons will at an extra cost to you. After the process is complete, most patrons will leave a ten or fifteen dollar tip. They will also reschedule another appointment to re-tighten the extensions, wash and restyle.
Review of Service
The service of this particular salon was done in a professional manner, they provided refreshments if you needed them. They were quick and efficient, and they taught you how to maintain your extensions between visits. I would recommend this salon to anyone who would like to change their look by using extensions.
Tips
Make sure that you have a consultation with the salon before having the extensions put in. That way you can agree on the style, length, price and color. Also try to research the different methods of hair attachments, glue versus sewing. Also ask other people how they felt when they got extensions put in, if they were satisfied with the results. Also find out if maintaining this particular style is easy or requires a lot of work.
