Description of service

The chain pet store that I took my dog to for grooming offers two grooming options, the basic package and the full service package. I chose the full service package, which included the haircut along with a full shampoo bath, blow dry, short massage, trimming of nails, ear cleaning, and brushing to clean off loose hair. They also put a little blue bandana around my dog's neck.

Review of Service

This was the first time that I had used this store for grooming and it seems like they did a good job. My dog came out looking and smelling nice, and her nails were trimmed to the right length and her ears were clean. My dog's hair is not that difficult to cut but I'm glad they took their time - about 45 minutes for the whole service - and did the job right. I've had some bad dog haircuts in the past and this store did it the way I think it should be done. The groomer was pleasant and took a few minutes to talk to me about what would be done and then spent a couple minutes down at the dog's level to introduce herself. At the end, my dog was happy to go home but also didn't seem to be nervous at all about the grooming salon. I was satisfied with the service and the price is a little expensive but at least everything is done, including nails and ears, and I didn't need an appointment.

Tips

Really just make sure that you like the groomer who will be handling your dog - if you aren't comfortable right away, then your dog probably will not be comfortable either.
