Description of service
I paid around $8 to rent a PS2 game for 5 days from a large chain video store. The game was scratched so I had the clerk run it through their disc cleaning machine before I left. The game worked fine when I played it at home and didn't freeze up on me. The clerk told me that a late fee would have been an additional $8 if the game was a day late so I made sure to get it in on time.
Review of Service
I've had many games freeze up on me once I took them home, but luckily the cleaning prevented it from happening this time around. I think the price is pretty fair considering that most games cost $50 and although I don't ever finish the whole game in 5 days, I have the option of keeping it for another 5 days and just paying the $8 late fee.
Tips
I only rent games the week they come out because they're not as scratched. Most of the older games on the shelves have some deep scratches and freeze up my PS2. I also like to rent them as soon as they come out because then the game handbook is usually in the case as well and you can read it to learn the basic game functions. Most of the kids who rent games don't take care of them and it looks like they're throwing the disc around their room.
