Description of service
I went to a local nationally known DVD/Game rental store. There was a game I wanted to try on my game console but did not want to purchase until I had an opportunity to try it out and see if it was worth the cost (it was a new release). I paid the $5.00 and had the game for a week.
Review of Service
The rental was quick and painless as I expected. I was happy to see that they actually had the game in stock, as it was a new release and they are often out of the new releases in the DVD section. This was my first time renting a game, so I did not know what to expect really. I liked the game but not enough to buy it, so, for my $5.00 rental fee, I saved myself over $40.00 (the price of the game). I would recommend this to anyone who is thinking of buying a new game but is unsure if they want to fork over their cash for it new. Its a nice try before you buy concept.
Tips
If money is tight or you just do not like to waste your money, this is a great service to use. The retail stores usually sell the games they rent too, so if you do like it you can just buy it when you return the rental. Also, look for used versions of the game you want if you decide to buy. They all come with a guarantee and are a lot cheaper than buying new.
