Description of service
At certain locations across the city, there were stores that you could rent videogames from for a modest price and for a set period of time. Games varied from family oriented to mature games intended for mature people such as myself.
Review of Service
It was worth way too much trouble that one intended it to be. Sometimes the stores didn't carry the games that one would be looking for when they entered the store or there weren't enough copies in the store for people to get. Rumors sometime pointed to employees keeping new releases for themselves. Other times, when the games that one wants to play are actually there, the quality of the games are terrible due to neglect that the previous owner was responsible for which would lead to a return trip to the store to get a new game of your choosing out of their remaining catalog and returning home hoping to find in a decent working condition.
Tips
Renting games is too much of gamble when it comes to finding the exact thing you're looking for. Unfortunately there aren't many alternatives when it comes to renting games from stores. Check all games that you rent from stores before you leave the store. Ask the employee if it's possible to check the game before you take it home if you aren't too sure.
