the Price of Regular Landscaping Service

This $50 was for roughly an 3/4 acre to be mowed, with flowering bushes and shrubs lightly trimmed and clearing/weedeating done around various flower beds and vegetable garden areas. They also sprayed our fruit trees to ward off potential insect problems.

The quality of this particular service was great. I have, unfortunately, at times ended up with overzealous folks that ended up mowing down areas of my vegetable gardens and thinking that my flowers, shrubs and saplings were weeds and cutting or pulling them up. All sticks, branches, and other such items had to be cleared totally away for this price.

Find out if the company/individuals will charge you less if you do some of the work yourself or if you agree to be put on a "plan". If I agreed to let this company do landscaping/yard work on a weekly basis, I would pay $30 per week. On a "when I need you" basis the cost remains around $50 per incident. I sometimes trade new plantings/rootings for a slight discount in price or sometimes I will purchase my own insecticide for a smaller payment. I think this is more of a possibility with small mom and pop or family type operations.
