I had one bush installed, all of my trees trimmed, all of my gardens weeded, and all of my gardens re-mulched. The price I paid was mostly for the raw materials - mulch, specifically. The company had 3 or 4 workers, and the additional money went to pay for their labor for 1.5 days.

I was very pleased with the service of this company. The head of the company was very personable and always took time out of his day to update me on what was going on. They ended up needing to use more mulch than expected, but they kept me posted, so it wasn't a big deal. The same company also services the yards of several of my neighbors, so I'm sure I'll see them again if I have any problems.

Stay in touch with the individuals who are working on your property. Make sure they are aware that you care about the work they are doing. From my experience, this always provides a greater incentive for the workers and helps with their morale. It was a pretty warm day when they were at my house, so I offered them lemonade in the early afternoon. Little things like that go a long way. It's also helpful to converse with the team leader about how things are going, to make sure his estimate is not far off from reality.
