Description of service
This is the price for Spring cleanup service by a local landscaping company. It includes leaf and debris cleanup from the lawn and the gardens, and raking and thatching the lawn. This was the price for my property, which is 100 feet by 120 feet (one-third acre.) There were three men working and they were here for approximately an hour and a half.
Review of Service
The service was fantastic. There are a large number of oak trees here and they leave a lot of leaves in the Fall. Although they were raked in the fall, a lot of these leaves cling to the trees and fall throughout the winter. In addition, we had several wind storms that broke a lot of twigs and branches off of these trees throughout the season. There were thousands of acorns all over the lawn, too. These were also removed during the cleanup. I've done this job myself in the past, and it took me over 20 hours to do what these guys did in ninety minutes. Plus, my back is not killing me!
Tips
Make sure you order your cleanup early enough in the season to get put on the landscaper's schedule. I cannot begin fertilizing my lawn until the leaves are gone, and if the cleanup is not done early enough, that throws off my fertilizer schedule. In my case, I had to call the landscaper early in March to be added to his list for late March/early April cleanup. Around here you want to begin to fertilize in the first two weeks of April, so this cleanup was just in time!
