Description of service
I had my hair straightened at a salon. The cost of the service was $70. I gave a $15 tip so the total for the service was $85.
Review of Service
This was my first and only time having this service performed and I really didn't know what I was getting into. I didn't realize it would take so much time, and planned it during my lunch hour. This was a mistake on my part, as I should have asked how long it would take, though I did mention when I made the appointment that it would be during my lunch time so I wish they would have told me.
The service itself was fine. She told me that I might feel a little tingling but that if it burned that meant I was sensitive to the chemicals used and I should tell her right away. This made me really paranoid that it was going to start burning my scalp, but I do realize she was just helping me by letting me know what might happen.
All in all though, my hair looked great and I got just the style I wanted. She did tell me how long it would last, which wasn't really that long, so I was prepared for that before I even spent my money.
Tips
Be sure to ask how long it's going to take so that you can plan accordingly. It's a good idea to ask for pictures of what the stylist has in mind so you can make sure you're on the same page.
