As a gift to my wife, in order to cut 15 minutes out of her morning routine, for Christmas I arranged for her salon to give her a Japanese Hair Straightening treatment. Upon arrival at her salon, she was given a cocktail, and taken to the treatment area. First a special lotion was put in her hair to break down the frizz. Then her hair was treated with a ceramic flat iron to straighten it. Finally a second lotion was put in the hair in order to lock it in that condition. The entire process took about 5 hours.
Review of Service
My wife was very pleased with this service, and the way she was treated and pampered while at the salon. Everything worked as her hair stylist said that it would, and she now has shiny, straight, and sleek hair.
Tips
Since the process does take so long, perhaps think about bringing a book. Unfortunately, since chemicals are being used in your hair, her salon did not recommend bringing an MP3 player. Also, be sure to listen to the stylist when you are told that you cannot wash your hair for 48 hours, as from my research before sending my wife, it seems as if the treatment will be ruined.
