Description of service
I had my very curly hair straightened at a professional salon. The cost was $65 and I tipped $10, bringing my total to $75.
Review of Service
I've had my hair straightened many times and this was pretty par for the course. The price was right and the workers were polite and knowledgeable. The person who did my hair was sure to talk to me in length about my expectations to make sure that she did what she could to meet them.
The only issue I had was that I'd made an appointment yet I still had to wait for almost 20 minutes to be seen. When I inquired with the person at the desk, who ended up being the salon owner, I was told they'd had an unusual amount of walk-ins and they were clogging up the appointments. This kind of irritated me, as I felt I should get priority over a walk-in. I was also disappointed that the owner didn't offer a discount or really any apology about the wait. I probably won't go back to this particular salon again, because the product I got was fine but the service wasn't special.
Tips
Be sure that your hair stylist knows exactly what you want. It's a good idea to bring in pictures so that you're sure you're both on the same page.
