Description of service

I thought it would be a great idea to have my own real estate website. So I shopped around for the best looking one with the all the features that I wanted. I couldn't find what I needed, but the next best would do for now until I become a really successful real estate broker.

Review of Service

The company I signed up was quite friendly and professional. I with charged a set-up fee. To get started, it would take me about $1500 and then the monthly hosting fee is $65. It was a lot of money to come up with but I did it. Everyone who visited the website said it was a good website. It also sent notifications to people who wanted automatic searches. Eventually, I had over 240 search requests per month and the company wanted to charge me another $50 everytime that I went over the 100 searches per month. I didn't know I was getting that many search requests. I mean, none of those search requests resulted in any closed transactions.

When the company got busier, they stopped making changes to my website so I had to start doing that on my own. And eventually, the website got really messy because I am not a techie or a programmer.

In addition to that, the website was not able to load on everybody's computer and then the email formats came out strange. Also, no one told me how customizable the emails were so I never got to use that function.

Tips

As a business expense, $65/month is okay. However, if you are paying for something but not getting the full function that you wanted, it is not worth it.
