Description of service
I took my dog to a doggie daycare facility while I was out of town for five days and four nights. The facility that I chose offered cage-free boarding in a home environment, so my dog was not locked up in a kennel all day. The facility's owner charged a flat fee of $30 a night, no matter when my dog arrived or left. She charged $15 a day for daycare and also offered pick-up and drop-off for between $5 and $15, depending on where you were located. The owner fed the dogs 2 or 3 times a day, depending on what your dog was used to. She did not groom the dogs, but would take them to a groomer of your choice if you requested.
Review of Service
The quality of service that I received was great -- I will definitely take my dog there in the future. He had a wonderful time playing with the other dogs, and came home tired out from all of the exercise. Because he stayed in a house and not in a kennel, he did not seem to have any adjustment problems whatsoever. The owner did not mind me calling and checking on my dog twice during my trip. She also emailed me some pictures of him playing and having a great time. I loved the personalized attention and I think she took wonderful care of my dog while I was gone.
Tips
If you are looking for doggie daycare, I would recommend that you call and visit several different places. After making the initial phone calls, I narrowed down my choice of daycare to three different places. I visited all of the places and the one that I decided on in the end was the most expensive, but I feel that it was well worth the price.
