Description of service
When I was 13 years old, I had a root canal on one of my upper front teeth. At that time, I did not get a crown. Over the years, that tooth got darker and darker until it was a horrible shade of dark gray. Even though my insurance did not cover it, I wanted to get it fixed for my own self-image. My dentist offered to bleach the tooth from the inside. She took out the filling from the root canal, filled the tooth with cotton swabs soaked in a bleaching solution, and sealed the tooth back up with a temporary filling. A few days later, when I looked in the mirror, the tooth was the same color as my other teeth. I made a follow-up appointment to have the bleach swabs removed. She opened the tooth back up, removed the swabs, and replaced the permanent filling.
Review of Service
Was SO happy with this procedure. It was completely painless and required no numbing. It worked in just a few days and my tooth is still a good color. It is a temporary fix and I will have to have it done again in a few years, but it is SO worth the money I paid.
Tips
If you are unhappy with the color of a "dead" tooth, check into internal bleaching. It is not very expensive and so worth it!
