Description of service
In January, I went to a dentist's office in South Philadelphia to have one of my bondings whitened. I scheduled the appointment a month before the actual procedure. If I did not show up to the appointment, I would have had to pay $25 in cancellation fees. I had a dark spot on my tooth, and I wanted it eradicated, or at least look less noticeable. I was in the dentist's office for thirty minutes, and I paid $110.00 for the procedure. The dentist sanded down the bonding, and put a filling on it before shining a light on it to make it appear the color of my teeth. We then discussed me getting bondings in the future.
Review of Service
I enjoyed the fact that the dentist's assistant was friendly. I also enjoyed the fact that I was only there for thirty minutes. I did not enjoy that still my tooth is discolored more than it was before. (It's not noticeable to others, but then I brush my teeth everyday). Looking back at in now, I find it somewhat odd that the office had many no-shows the day of my scheduled appointment. For that reason, I do not think that I will go back there again for specialized dentist's procedures.
Tips
As with anything, do your research on the strengths and weaknesses of dentists. Although I will go back for dental cleanings, I will not go back for specialized dental procedures. I would perform research to see what procedures the office specializes in and the costs of the procedures (I know that if I went to my childhood dentist, my teeth would look white and 'normal' and I would have paid the same price).
