Description of service
Prescreening, temporary prescription eyeglasses, Lasik surgery performed on both eyes, astigmatic, if that makes a difference.
Review of Service
I was referred by a family member to seek this particular doctor. He first did a prescreen visit which made sure I was a viable candidate for lasik. I have been wearing glasses since I was 6, and contact lenses since I was 13 and was dying to have the procedure done. After the prescreening, I had to wear eyeglasses to let my eyes regain their original shape. I then went through the procedure, had one day of rest to let the eyes heal. I had one follow-up visit afterwards to verify my eyes had healed properly and then I started my new life without corrective lenses for the first time in two decades.
Tips
I felt very comfortable with my doctor. I felt like he was concerned for his patients' well-being and wasn't just performing the procedure to make a quick buck. I have heard horror stories about lasik but I was completely confident in my doctor. I had zero problems because I followed the doctor's instructions from start to finish and it was the best thing that ever happened to me and money well spent.
