the Price of LASIK Surgery

This was the price I paid to have Lasik eye surgery on both eyes. The price included all fees involved with the surgery: initial consultation, surgeon's fees, dark glasses to wear the day of the surgery, and one follow up visit. The surgery took about one hour, and then I was required to wait for about thirty minutes after the surgery was over. This is not an invasive surgery; lasers are used and the procedure is painless.

Since contacts always irritated my eyes, I had worn glasses for many years. This eye surgery changed my life!! I love that I do not have to wear glasses anymore. The doctor I chose was really great and I was able to set up a payment plan so that I could afford to have the surgery. My eyes were extremely sensitive to light for the rest of the day after the surgery. I was required to wear dark glasses for the rest of the day and was instructed to not open my eyes if possible. I think the price of the surgery was reasonable.

Make sure you feel totally comfortable with your surgeon; get referrals from family and friends if possible. Also, make sure soneone is able to take care of you the day of the surgery.
