the Cost of Emergency Room Visits for Illness

This service was for emergency room care at a local hospital in Columbus, Ohio. I was feeling really faint, and I could not stop getting sick so my family forced me to go to the emergency room. This hospital had and emergency room for people that were on the verge of dieing, and an "urgent care" room that was like the emergency room but only for people who weren't near death. I was in the urgent care room. The overall cost of the visit, after my insurance paid their part, was $100 even.

I do not like emergency rooms at all. The wait is always outrageous. This is hard to understand, becuase I get fast service for other things that I don't pay as much for, like fast food. I pay the hospital more money than I pay for any other serivce, and I get the worst experience in return. I was given some shots, and some medicene to take home and was diagnosed with the stomache flu. The nurses were nice, and the doctors were very eduated but this didn't help the fact that I was there for over three hours.

There aren't many tips, if you need to goto the emergency room you should go to the closest one to you. But if your city has multiple hospitals, choose the less busy one.
