Description of service
After being hit at a stop sign, we had to have our whole door replaced. It was not an option to just fix what was there, as it cracked the plastic and car manufacturer only sells whole doors for this make/model. The whole process was easy though. Her insurance was great to deal with and we really had no issues with getting the bodywork done. They took off the door and replaced it with a new door. We had to wait two weeks for it to be done, as they had to order the door and then paint it to match the body of our car as best they could. They then replaced the door and called us and we picked up our car. We were even able to leave our rental there, because the rental agency was inside the body shop location.
Review of Service
All went great. My only complaint was that it took them two weeks. I felt this was a long time to get a door, but they explained that since the make/model of our car is no longer made, it was a matter of finding a door and having it shipped to them. Our door actually came from California! Other than that, it went smoothly and I would recommend this body shop to anyone. The only other complaint is that the door does not match exactly to the rest of the car in color. However, its an old car and I did not really expect the new paint to match the old paint exactly.
Tips
Do not be afraid to ask questions. When they told me it was going to take the better part of two weeks, I asked why. Otherwise I would have been mad. Also, do not let the insurance company tell you where you are going to take your car. I told THEM where I was going and they did not try to fight me, but other insurance companies will.
